Dr. Bob Johnson
Dr. Bob is a native of Massachusetts (there is still a bit of an accent!) who attended dental school at the University of Pennsylvania. After receiving his Doctorate in Dental Medicine, he then completed a two year residency at Children's Memorial Medical Center and a three year Masters program at Northwestern University Dental School.
In 1982 and after several years of extensive examinations, Dr. Bob earned status as a Diplomate of the American Board and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He joined over a thousand of his colleagues who attained this award. Dr. Bob is currently an assistant clinical professor at Northwestern University Medical School and a senior attending practitioner at Ann & Robert Lurie Children's Hospital (over 39 years) and NorthShore University Healthcare Systems Hospital (formerly the Evanston / Glenbrook Hospitals for over 38 years).
He has lectured and participated in numerous clinical programs sponsored by dental organizations. Dr. Bob has been married for over thirty-nine years and is the father of two college aged children. He has interests in soccer, research, technology (all phases of pediatric dentistry and laser dentistry) and has served the North Shore with his own private practice since 1980.
Dr. Bob has lived in Glenview for almost 30 years and currently is in his 38th season as a AYSO soccer referee. He also volunteers with his dogs “Faedan” and “Dillon” in therapy dog visits to libraries and senior homes.
Dr. Bob and his team are great. My kids love going to his office and having their teeth cleaned. He makes the kids feel comfortable, does what he has to do and gets them out of the chair, but not before turning on the electric train that runs around the office - the kids love that too! After the appointment, Dr. Bob chats with the parents while the kids get a plastic "treat" from the treasure chest. My kids love going to the dentist's office and never want to leave! D.S. Glenview
